Kathleen Noone's
Emotional Fitness
Having
worked in the entertainment industry for many, many years I have
experienced both the tremendous highs as well as the devastating lows
that are particular to our business.
I’ve learned some useful tools and techniques that
have helped me with my daily dealings with agents, producers, writers,
actors and directors.
Not only do we face the struggle of unemployment and employment, but we
need to face our own demons when dealing with a business that all too
frequently doesn’t honor our talents.
How do you maintain your sense of self-worth, dignity, and self-esteem
when you are constantly in the ‘line of fire’ of
rejection and disapproval? Whatever
your job description – actor, agent, writer,
director, producer, etc. – there are tools that can help you balance the
demands of the industry with your emotional needs.
I
will share with you some of the tools I’ve acquired over the years and I will
help you create some of your own. The
most crucial realization I’ve made is that,
in this business, you must remain in service to yourself – keep yourself
healthy and productive no matter where you are in your career.
