Week of May 5, 2008
Hi
All ...
Welcome to my website. I hope you will find something that peaks your
interest.
The film I completed with Adam
Sandler, DONT MESS WITH THE ZOHAN opens June 6, 2008. I hope you'll get a
chance to see it. It was such great fun shooting that movie and it was a
wonderful group of people to work with.
We are all trying to come back from the writer's strike here in Los Angeles, and
we are facing negotiations with the two actors unions, SAG AND AFTRA.
Hopefully they will be resolved with better conditions for all of us.
I finished up shooting on PASSIONS in April. I was so happy to be on the
last few shows, and playing 'Mrs. Wallace' was great, great fun. I will
miss her. But, onward and upward to all of us!
I spent a little time in New
York. I was there to honor a former professor mine, Jack Clay, from SMU in
Dallas, Texas. He was one of the finest acting teachers I ever had, and it
was great to see him again after so many years. I received a Master
of Fine Arts Degree from SMU, and it still is considered one of the finest
acting schools around.
Memorial Day Weekend I am
heading off to Colorado to visit old friends of mine from USM, which is the
university where I received my Master of Spiritual Psychology Degree. Carl
Studna is one of the finest photographers out there who has photographed many of
our current rock stars, and his wife Cynthia James is the Assistant Minister at
the Mile High Church of Religious Science in Denver. I have never seen
Denver before, so I cannot wait to be among the mountains!
I am going to be sharing with
you a story about mentoring. I call it "Baskin Robbins, Ronny and Me".
Look for it in June. My whole purpose in sharing the story is to encourage
each of us in the areas where we live to reach out to young people who are
trying to better their lives and don't necessarily have the tools to do it.
So, maybe we'll be starting a Mentors Club. I'll keep you informed, and be
sure to look for the story sometime in June. If you haven't already
signed up for our email mailing list, be sure to do so now, as I would
eventually like to hear your mentoring stories. Wishing you all health, happiness and safety.
